System Check

The SystemCheck™ process was developed by PM tec to assist our customers in the definition and improvement of their project management systems. The objective of the SystemCheck™ workshop is to gain high-level and holistic understanding of the client’s project management needs for use in the development of a project management implementation and/or improvement plan.

The workshop utilizes PM tec’s proprietary SystemCheck™ process to explore the client’s project management environment across the following dimensions:

  • Skills and Competencies
  • Performance
  • Project Management Software and Tools
  • Project Organization and Methods
  • Supporting Tools
  • Other Related Business Processes

The process assesses the organization’s maturity and capability of each evaluation area so that an overall rating can be established and a roadmap can be created.

The SystemCheck™ process was developed by PM tec, Inc. through the adaptation and integration of various industry standards for project management, quality management and continuous process improvement. These include the Project Management Body of Knowledge (ANSI/PMI 99-001-2008), Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), Organizational Project Management Maturity Model (ANSI/PMI 08-004-2008), and ISO 9001.

In addition these industry standards, PM tec applies over 20 years of experience in developing custom project management solutions, designing and implementing project management and related software systems, and enhancing the project management related competencies of our clients in order to best meet their business objectives.

PM tec also offers specialized versions of the process that address the specific issues associated with implementing an earned value management system (SystemCheck - EVMS™) and focus on the requirements needed for the implementation of enterprise-class project management tools (SystemCheck - Primavera™).
