Information Technology Computing Systems Professional - Developer

Location: Northern New Mexico

Summary

Provides advanced technical support services; designs, specifies, and develops solutions for complex heterogeneous computing infrastructure. Performs research and development to identify and implement applicable emerging technologies in the Laboratory computing environment. Utilizes formal project management methodologies; gathers customer requirements; performs risk management functions; performs capacity and availability planning for computing infrastructure; performs effective communication both, verbal and written, at all levels.

Has wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and Laboratory objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. Frequently contributes to the development of new theories and methods. Considered expert in field within the organization. Develops resolutions to complex problems that require the frequent use of creativity and where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Work is accomplished without considerable direction. May coordinate activities of other personnel. Exerts significant latitude in determining objectives of assignment, and determines the methods and procedures needed for new assignments.

Required Skills

• Ability to work collaboratively with a team leader and with members of a technical team in achieving common goals.
• Ability to work autonomously in analyzing problems, designing, developing, testing and deploying solutions.
• Programming experience in Microsoft C# and ASP.NET.
• Understanding of and professional experience in developing software based on W3C standards such as XML Schema, Web Services, DOM, XPath, XSL and associated tools.
• Experience developing Web applications with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, JSON and similar technologies.
• Understanding of and professional experience in developing software using Agile or Scrum Methodologies.
• Understanding of and experience in developing relational database applications (Oracle, MS SQL Servers).
• Must be able to work in a team environment and focused on customer service.

 Desired Skills

• Programming experience with ASP.NET Razor, MVC and Entity Framework
• Experience with working with Telerik UI for ASP.NET MVC
• Experience with Microsoft Visual  Studio, SQL Server Reporting, Integration and Analysis Services
• Experience in project management.
• Experience working with data warehouses, extraction, transformation and loading, business intelligence.
• Experience with developing SharePoint sites, REST API, forms, workflows, and PowerShell.
• Ability to write clear and concise documents, create and present presentations, capture and analyze data.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science/information technology or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Clearance
No clearance is required, though applicant should be able to acquire a Q clearance, which normally requires U.S. citizenship.
